MAKE NICE rebranding
Brand identity, storytelling, research,
cultural institution, typography
Description
Make Nice is a Sydney based cultural institution which provides practical advice for women working in the creative industries, promotes the importance of a thriving and supportive professional ecology, and fosters ongoing dialogue for the continued exchange of ideas.
To grow a bolder and more inclusive platform for engaging broader audience, the solution behind the conceptual rebranding project is to refresh the current brand identity system by focusing more on the rich context of creative women community while minimising the visual interpretations to let the context speak for itself.
INFINI family is selected for MAKE NICE’s primary brand typeface, which is conceived and crafted by a female typeface designer Sandrine Nugue in 2014, to enhance brand recognition and tone of voice. It is a shareware and downloadable typeface for free of charge with an intention to raise public awareness of contemporary type design and to valorise a profession that is currently seeing a robust resurgence.
